UNIVERSITY SUPPORT

Since 2018, Rockwater has provided the University of Western Australia with annual prize money for the best hydrogeology student in the school of engineering, and we also contributed significantly to establishment of the UWA Master’s in Hydrogeology programme.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HYDROGEOLOGISTS

Rockwater is a corporate member of the International Associations of Hydrogeologists.  Our staff have held key positions in IAH, including State Chairperson in 2009-14 (Grant Bolton) and 2015-18 (Ian Brandes de Roos).

From 2019-2021, Ian has also been the National President of IAH.

In 2013, Grant Bolton and several other IAH committee members from Rockwater, played a key role in the successful delivery of the 40th IAH International Congress in Perth.

AUSTRALIAN GEOTHERMAL ASSOCIATION

Rockwater is a strong supporter of the Australian Geothermal Association, with staff holding key positions in AGA.

Jorik Poesse is the current Treasurer.

Martin Pujol (Senior Geothermal Hydrogeologist) served on the AGA Board, and Grant Bolton as the AGA Secretary.

Martin was instrumental in compiling the Australian Geothermal Census for AGA and has contributed to several Special Interest Groups.

AUSTRALIAN DRILLING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION

Rockwater is a corporate member of the Australian Drilling Industry Association.  We have contributed to a number of ADIA events and publications.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS ASSOCIATION

Rockwater has been a Corporate Member of the ECA since 2009. Nick Evelegh (Principal Environmental Scientist) served on the ECA committee in 2005-20.

AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF MINING AND METALLURGY

Several senior Rockwater staff members are members of AusIMM, and have occasionally presented at their conferences.
